Real Food.....

Okay, so maybe it isn't exactly real food but it is the most solid stuff that Brooklee has eaten yet!  I tried giving her rice cereal the other day and she absolutely loved it!  Here are some pictures...

I love this picture!  She wanted that stuff soooo bad!  Every time I went back to refill the spoon, she just eyed it like this!

These next pictures are just some other cute pictures I took of Brooklee and Coree (Sam's neice) at Valley Furniture.  Coree absolutely LOVES Brooklee and HAS to hold her all the time.  She really is a good little babysitter! 

Notice the candy necklace that Coree has on.  She made it earlier that day at a friend's birthday party.....

Well, it didn't take Brooklee long to find it!  I wish I had gotten a better picture, but when Coree cam and got Brooklee, the first thing Brooklee went for were the candies!  It was sooo cute!  She was just sucking away at that necklace.  It got both Coree and Brooklee all sticky!  I love Coree's face in this last picture.  I think she was pretty bummed that Brooklee ate her candy.  She wouldn't touch them anymore because they had Brooky slobby all over!  :o)

The first of many...

So I go to my mom's house for lunch so I can spend some time with Brooklee, and the other day, I left my drink apparently too close to Brooky in her bumbo and she reached for it and knocked it over.  I think what made it so cute was the expression of "did I do that?" that she had on her face.  It was so dang cute!

This is just a cute picture of Sam and Brooklee.  This is Sam's favorite outfit of Brooklee's.  If you look close you can see the little Sun Devil on her shirt :o)

Sarah let me borrow this disk that Brooklee sits in with that has all the little toys around her.  She absolutely loves it! 

Brooklee is growing up so fast!  She is playing and talking so much.  Right now she loves to play with her feet.  She also loves to make this really high-pitched screeching sound.  I think she thinks she's singing!  Sam is not too fond of it:o)  We love our little girl!

San Diego...

So if you read my blog a few posts ago, you would know that my wonderful husband got me a trip to San Diego for my V-Day present.  Well, we went this last week and had a blast!  It really was so much fun to spend time together and enjoy the wonderful attractions of San Diego.  It was pretty cold the whole time we were there, but we had a lot of fun.  Here are a few pictures...

We also were able to tour the USS Midway.  It is a GYNORMOUS aircraft carrier.  It was awesome!   Here is Sam standing in front of it

We definitely missed Brooklee while we were gone.  It was really hard leaving her, but there was no way that we would have been able to take her.  She is still doing breathing treatments and is still on medication for her ear infections.  I tell you what though, usually it is hard to come home after a vacation, but by the end of our vacation, sam and I couldn't wait to get home and see our beautiful baby!  Thanks mom and dad for taking good care of our baby!!!

My Poor Sick Baby!!!!

Look at those sad little eyes!  This week has been a long one for our little baby.  we found out that she as a form of RSV or something like it and an ear infection.  so she is on 3 antibiotics and she is also doing albuterol breathing treatments, which is what this is a picture of.  I think it is so cute that they have it in the form of a pacifier!  So she just holds it and sucks on it while it is doing it's job!  She has been to the dr's 4 times this week and he wants to see her again on Monday just to be on the safe side.  We have had some rough nights, that's for sure.  I just feel so bad for her because she is normally such a happy little baby.  But you can still get a smile out of her even though she is feeling rotten!  Hopefully she gets to feeling better soon!

All Dressed Up!!!

I just thought this was such a cute picture of Brooklee and Sam taken just before church this last Sunday.  My sister-in-law, Kristi, gave Brooklee this dress for Christmas and it is the cutest little thing ever!  It came with a little brown sweater, but it has been pretty hot at church lately and Brooklee is a sweaty little baby...but dang adorable!  Thank you for the dress Kristi!!!!

Since I was posting anyway, I decided to put in a couple other cute pictures.  This is Brooklee in her "Bumbo" chair.  She just sits on the counter and watches everything!  She looks like a little boy dressed in yellow and sitting in her blue chair!

Brooklee loves to take baths.  Well, she actually just loves to be naked!  That is seriously when she is most happy.  She gets so excited even when I change her diaper!  So this is a picture of her right after her bath in her little flower towel.  She has actually been kind of sick and congested lately.  She has also been coughing a lot, but you would never be able to tell because she is always just smiling anyway!  She is such a good little baby.  We have had to give her breathing treatments 4 times a day to clear up her lungs and it is the cutest thing ever because she just sits there holding the tube and sucking in the fumes like everything's normal!  I need to get a good picture of that and post it on my next blog!

I have the BEST husband in the world!

So Sam and I decided a few weeks before Valentine's day that we just wouldn't get eachother anything. So when Valentine's day finally came around, i thought that i would 1 up him and give him some chocolates and a card. But Sam is a man that will never be outdone. Actually, I told him that it is not fair to everyone else's husbands because he makes them all look like schlubbs and no one else could ever compete! Anyway, on v-day morning, sam got me out of bed and sent me on a scavenger hunt complete with poems and everything that he wrote himself! Anyway, his scavenger hunt sent me around the house and finally lead me to the new laptop that he got for me! And boy, if you are thinking that was really nice, that wasn't even the best part! In the laptop, he had created a folder for me to look at, and in that folder was the itinerary for a San Diego trip during spring break! He had made flight and hotel reservations and everything! I have the most amazing, thoughtful, wonderful husband in the whole world! I know I am the most spoiled rotten wife in the whole world, but blame it on my husband! I love you so much Sam...thank you so much for all you do for Brookey and I!!! You are the greatest ever!!!

Blessing Day!

So it has been a while since we actually blessed Brooklee, but my sister Sarah took pictures with her camera, so I didn't get them until yesterday. We probably should have taken pictures before the blessing becuase she was NOT happy when we finally got around to taking pictures. We do not have a single picture of her smiling! So Sarah and I decided that we will put her in her dress again sometime this week and get some pictures of her smiling :o) That might be cheating, but at least we'll have some smiling pictures of her in her blessing dress! Anyway, here are just a couple of the pictures. At least she had a really cute dress?!

Her little face gets so red when she cries! She definitely inherited that from my side of the family...poor thing :o(

And here is what she really looked like most of the time we were trying to take pictures...boy was she mad! Right after that, I put her in her onsie pajamas and she was happy as ever! Does anyone else have a problem with their babies being grumpy whenever they are dressed up? Brooklee definitely likes as little clothes as possible. She loves to be naked. You should see her smile when I change her diaper!
