Disneyland 2013

We finally were able to take the girls to Disneyland during spring break this last year.  Saying they enjoyed it us definitely an understatement!!!  Grandma and Grandpa came with us and we had an absolute blast!  Brooklee could pretty much ride everything and loved the roller coasters (especially space mountain which she ended up riding 5 times!). The whole trip was a huge success and we can't wait to go again!!!

Lydie turns 1!!!

Here are some pictures of Lydie Bugs first birthday party:). Sam and I were in Nashville for a furniture convention on her actual birthday, so we celebrated as soon as we got back a few days later.

Happy Halloween 2013!!!

I'm totally taking advantage of the fact that I can still get away with dressing the girls the same...I'm so sad to say this will probably be the last year.  I already had to trick Brooklee into it this year:). They were just too darn cute not to:)

Brooklee is 5!!!!

Our baby girl turned 5 today!  I can't believe I have a 5 year old!  Brooklee is the best big sister and a wonderful helper.  She is really in to make up, clothes, and horses:). I know, we are in for it..she is 5 going on 16:). But we love her and are so thankful for her sweet smile and spirit in our home.  We live you Brooklee Paige Curtis!!!!

Random and Allie's 2nd Birthday

My beautiful little girls in their Easter dresses.  I'm pretty sure I have more pics of Easter somewhere, but these are the few that I've found

Allie after church looking for ants...she loves looking for bugs but then says "ew, yucky!"  and squashes them:o)

My cute little Brooklee

Brooklee loves to take pictures!  Her aunt Julie showed her how to hold the camera to take pics of herself. Auntie Julie is really good at that:o)

Brooklee and Allie getting ready to get into the pool.  They are in the pool pretty much every day

Allie's 2nd Birthday!  It was weirdly cold that night and no one came prepared.  I had just boxed up all our winter clothes and had to find them all again!  It was fun though :o)

I made a little personal cake for Allie.  She took a few bites and then was done with it.

Nana and Kasi got Allie a Tangled card and a Mermaid card.  They both play songs and she LOVED them.    They had to have been the top "presents" :o)

Daddy wearing glow in the dark earrings :o)

Papa at Allie's party...I think he had a lot of fun :o)

I am not very good at updating the girls' physical and developmental progress, so I guess I will record some info on Allie, since she just had her second birthday.  Her favorite movie right now is "Free Willy" :o)  and while she was watching it the other day, she told Sam "I love Willy cuz he's my cousin!"  She loves going to nursery and all during sacrament she asks "go to nursery now and play with all my friends?"  Everyone is her friend and cousin:o)  For Primary, we are having the kids memorize their articles of faith.  I started helping Brooklee memorize the first article of faith.  Little did I know that Allie had actually memorized it too!  She totally surprised me one day (a few weeks ago) and said "I do it by myself!" and proceeded to say the whole thing by herself!  It is pretty much the cutest thing ever!  She is so proud of herself.  I have it on video, so I will have to figure out how to post videos on here too.

San Diego - March 2012

I'm actually posting to our family blog!  Crazy, I know!  From here on out my posts will be totally random, and definitely not in order of date.  I'm just going to post as soon as I find things that I've missed (which is a heck of a lot!)  Anyway, for spring break in March we went to San Diego with Sam's parents and sister Kasi.  We stayed in the cutest little rental home on Mission Beach and had a lot of fun.  I didn't get too many pictures.  I'm not the best at taking pictures while on vacation, I guess because I'm too distracted by everything else:)  Here are a few:

Here are Papa and Allie at the Mormon Battalion lookout point in Old Town.

Brooklee and Allie loved Sea World.  Here they are with an otter?

Allie and Daddy waiting for the ride to start...Allie loved it :o)

Brooklee and Allie with Elmo and Cookie Monster.  It looks like Allie was crying, but she actually really liked them

we are loving it here!

okay, not really.  Allie and i are actually sitting in a hospital room for the second day.  Thus the reason i am actually blogging!  i never have time to blog, but for the last couple of days i have had nothing but time!  weird!  Anyway, here is the story:
Allie had a cough for a few days, but monday and tuesday it had gotten worse.  I knew we were in for a rough night wednesday night, so were all in bed by 8:00 that night...Allie woke up at 8:30.  I brought her to my room and of course didnt get much sleep.  I noticed while she was sleeping that her breathing was pretty labored and her heart rate was high, so i took her to the ER (thank heavens we have better insurance right now than we did a couple months ago or i probably would have thought twice).
When we got to the ER they took an x-ray and saw that she had pnemonia and decided to admit her.  they tried to put an IV in 6 times, let me repeat, 6 TIMES before they gave up and gave her an antiobiotic with a shot instead.  They have since been monitoring her oxygen levels and had to put her on oxygen last night while she slept.  She is doing a lot better today but they want to keep her one more night to monitor her oxygen levels while she sleeps.  I am hopning for a really good night and for my baby to get better.  But I also have tons of wrapping to do before Christmas not to mention the million other things that I am just going to have to let go that i wanted to do before Christmas.  Oh well.  I am glad my baby is better and my family is happy and healthy.  Maybe, during the next couple weeks I have off, I will have time to update my blog on everything
